GeoSAR
Phoenix Air GeoSAR aircraft radar mapping system is a single pass dual frequency X-Band and P-Band interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar or IfSAR radar designed to map both above and below vegetation canopies. The system: mounted on a Gulfstream II aircraft, simultaneously collects dual sided X-band and P-band IfSAR mapping data.
The GeoSAR system is a dual-band interferometric synthetic aperture radar, or DbInSAR. DbInSAR comprises X-Band sensors which map first returns and P-Band sensors which penetrate all vegetation together providing imagery and digital surface models of above and below the canopy. DbInSAR is the perfect technology for all regions with triple canopy vegetation and land masses requiring airborne geodata capture in cloudy conditions. The captured data is processed while in the field, is compatible with all GIS systems, and integrates seamlessly with all other geo-data including LIDAR. Collection of the GeoSAR data can be executed day or night, in clear skies or clouds, and at an amazing rate of nearly 300 square kilometers per minute.
